Forgotten World Adventures is a tourism business offering activities focused on and around the Stratford-Okahukura railway line, which the company leased in 2011. RailCarts (golf carts converted to run on railway lines) were FWA???s first inspirational concept. By the end of the 2015-2016 season over 18,000 visitors had travelled through the remote Ruapehu landscape and historic towns this way. New for 2016-2017 is the purchase of a jet boat allowing a different perspective of the region from the waters of the Whanganui River. Combining the rail and river modes of transport offers a truely unique and fun way to explore a historical region of New Zealand. There is nothing like RailCarting through remote landscapes, as a business or experience. It has captured the imagination of New Zealand and increasingly visitors from all around the world. Travelling at a steady 20km/h, RailCart passengers aged from 1 to 94 are led by FWA???s guiding team who tell fascinating stories of the region.
