Coromandel Ocean Adventures is a boat tour company based in the beautiful Tairua. Founded by Hayden Smith and Richie McNabb. Both are seriously proud locals, professional watermen and outdoors lovers. We provide several 90 minute scenic boat tours each day, departing from Tairua and Pauanui. An abundance of marine and bird life, volcanic rock formations, birds and downright beautiful scenery awaits. Our tours are run by professional watermen and proud locals, with a wealth of knowledge on the area. This is a tour for the whole family. Richie is a third generation boatman from Tairua. His grandad was a local charterman and legendary local figure. With over 10 years commercial experience pearl diving and 20 years ocean experience; Richie brings a wealth of knowledge to the tours. Hayden Smith, also a local to the area, brings a Masters of Science, majoring in Marine Biology. Also with 5 years pearl commercial diving experience, on top of a life lived close to the ocean and two other boating businesses.
